Nick Hill is a natural hoof care practitioner with close to 20 years experience in natural hoof care and shoeing. In 2020 he started preparing two people to take over his business in Scotland - Emmie Cutting (now Cutting hoof care) and Al Goodridge (from Know hoof know horse). This training took two years of theory and practise with cadaver hooves and under live horses of all shapes and sizes - horses, donkeys, ponies and mules. These two professionals now run their own successful businesses. Over the years Nick Hill has trained many other professionals through AANHCP and has been an examiner for others through Liberated horsemanship. He has passion for teaching and loves sharing his knowledge and experience.
Just starting out?
We offer one-to-one training days for horse owners who are interested in maintaining their own equines' hooves in-between professional hoof care practitioners' visits. These run for one day with covering some basic theory in the morning including what healthy hooves look like, how to recognise pathology, wear patterns and what they mean about how your equine is moving and how to improve this through management and exercise. You have friends who are also interested? We can cater to groups of up to 4 people who are at the same level of knowledge and experience.
